People who are eligible to take admission:
- Patients dealing with alcohol and drug abuse.
- Violence related to substance abuse.
- Severe withdrawal symptoms while getting treatment for alcohol and drug abuse.
- Psychiatric problems due to the drug overdose.
- Suicidal behaviour due to emotional issues.
- Patients who are a threat to themselves and others.
- Patients who are having the modern addiction like online gambling and gaming.
- Sleep-related issues.
- People are suffering from excess worries, anxiety and other disorders.
Types of admission
Regular admission:
The patient can get regular admission when it is felt that they are having an uncontrollable behaviour of consuming excess alcohol and drug. They are enrolled for intensive psychological treatment.
Admission under special circumstances:
These are the patients who have become aggressive due to regular intake of alcohol and drugs for many years.The psychiatric emergencies like erratic behaviour are treated with complete professionalism.
Referred admission:
Mind and Brain involve the psychiatrist, who refers the patient, as a part of the team who will be treating the patient. This is one of the steps followed in referred admission procedures. As the psychiatrist knows the patient, he will be regularly updated on the progress of the patient.
Admission Procedures:
All the factors are considered during admission processes like the type of accommodations duration of the treatment program, severity of the patient addiction or issue, dependency for daily activities for which caretaker is needed and types of treatment, medications prescribed.
